We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor
Thank you!

Thank you so much for the quilt. I received mine this last weekend at the Returning Warrior Workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Its people like you that make what we do worth while. God bless you.
You are most welcome. Quilting your Quilt of Valor is our "service" to you.
I am so glad that this was another great presentation. You are the best Rita and we all support this action and pray for our men and women.
Oh, Vickie, I can't take credit for it. It "takes a village"... I am surrounded by a whole lot of great people. There are people who are cutting, binding, making our labels, pillowcases, quilting. Wanda comes over and puts our donated fabrics together! Some who cannot make it to the sew-ins, stop by the shop and pick up a kit or two. That's where it's at!! It doesn't all happen at the sew-in!!
Rita
yes but you are the leader and you deserve some recognition even if you don't want. I for one appreciate all you both for us the quilters and for the military ( I am a military mom). God Bless and continue all the good work you do.
