LOTS going on

Suzie and I were at a booth at the Village Quilters Quilt Show in Libertyville this past weekend. QOV was their service project for the year. They put together 38 quilts and awarded 18 at an emotional program Saturday afternoon. What an inspiration! Some made for a special Veteran and was able to award him/her their quilt. We had a couple WWII Veterans, one being a Purple Heart recipient, Desert Storm, Korean, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans present. Ellen said it right...lot of love in that hall! Word has it they might do it again at their next show. Here are a few pictures. PS. Came home with 18 completed quilts! Thank you ladies!

Tuesday we had our monthly Batavia sew-in.  Here are a "few" pictures of tops that came in yesterday.  They're all so different.

 Upcoming we have:
Honor flight in North Chicago this Sunday.
Next Wednesday, Veterans at VFW
St Charles 15 Veterans Day week at the Moose Lodge
RWW also Veterans Day week
West Aurora High School 2 veterans at their Veterans Day Celebration
