We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor

The merge went well
Well, that went very well! There was cutting, battings were bundled, backings were measured and cut, and sewing....and I still came home with lots of scraps!!! So, haven't had time (and probably won't get to that today cause someone VERY important to us is on his way), but I'll assemble all the lists (membership, volunteers for quilt shows---still room for more---gets you into the show for free, and whatever other lists I put out there for you). Came home with 6 completed quilts--always a good sign! Thank you, St. Charles and all for coming and I look forward to more. Here are the pictures.
