We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor
Thank you!

September Sew In
Ya can't beat it...sewing together with friends and new friends. I love it when people walk in, put their purse down and dig in! I haven't counted all the finished tops I brought home and I know some went to get borders on them and we pieced a whole lot of blocks for our next sew-in.
Our next "commitment for quilt tops for the RWW program is around the 15th of January. Again, 80 are requested but the count will change if they have cancellations. Have a request from Rockford, IL, but the amount is not final yet.
Here are some pictures Wanda sent in.
