We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor
Thank you!

Thank you, Dixie
Dixie and some members of her bee helped in making up some kits yesterday. Thank you so much! Even though we have access to the wonderful machines that cut layers of fabric, it is yet an ordeal to make sure the fabrics are cut right, pressed right and counted out right. These are the people behind the scenes who make it easy for the piecers who pick up kits, or come to the sew-ins. All are a huge part of covering our heroes!
Today I head out to Mahomet, IL to pick up some quilted tops! Thank you, Joe.
Rita
