Today was Veteran's Day and the Elgin Chapter of Land of Lincoln Quilts
of Valor had a great day. Our new group had 8 people working on paper
foundation blocks, bundling quilts for longarmers, and working with a
new quilter on his borders. We meet at Christ the Lord Church in Elgin
off of Tina Trail from 10-2 on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Everyone
brought a sack lunch, but when we broke for lunch Patty treated everyone
to a pot of Ham and Lentil Soup. It is a very laid back atmosphere
and we all had a great time. Next month's meeting will be December 9 and
everyone is welcome to join us. We will be finishing our quilt from
this month and working on a new block for December. Come see what we are
all about. A great group for experience quilts and newbies alike. We
have a large room
to work in and we work with great people.
