We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor

Quilters, Quilters!!
Well, I've been sorting and assessing what we have here since Dorothy dropped off what was left at the Quilt Store last week. She brought over about 10 completed quilts---yeah!! a couple needing binding. We have 39 tops needing quilting!!
We also got some more donated fabric and I've been thinking... How I sort the fabric is, when we get nice size yardage, I save for backings. Then we strip cut 3 1/2", 2 1/2" on down to 2 1/2" squares and the 1/2 square triangles. So, if you could help in cutting these scraps, let me know.
Rita
