We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor

Sew-In Reminder: May 8
This is your sew-in reminder for this month. As you heard, they're coming home. The war is still on and we have lots of requests per month that are not covered. There are several quilted tops here waiting for binding and labels--gets them out of the "in working progress" pile into the "All Done and ready for our heroes" pile!
I hope your schedules allow for the change in date and we see you on Tuesday. We need sewing machines! oh, and of course the dish to pass. It's our "picnic" month and I'll bring the hot dogs.
Thank you,
Rita
