At the generosity of the guild, we will have a booth here:
Prairie Star Quilt Show on OCTOBER 17-18 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds,
in Wheaton, IL. There are 21 vendors,
offering a wide selection of quilt related items- books, fabrics, tools
and more! Plus thanks to the generosity of the vendors, there is an
hourly drawing for door prizes with items donated by the vendors.
Everyone who comes to the show is eligible for a door prize. Approximately 300 quilts, all from our guild members. Some
of these quilts will be part of our “judged” category, with ribbons
awarded. And we will also have a display of small quilts entered into
our guild quilt “Challenge” with the theme of “My Hometown”.
In addition, the guild will have a “Boutique” booth where
small items, made and donated by guild members, will be for sale. There is the “Scraps” booth: members have donated quilt-store
quality fabric scraps and yardage throughout the past 2 years. The
scraps have been sorted and placed in paper bags, with the assortment
noted on the bag. These bags will be $1 each, and No Peeking! It’s a
surprise! All yardage will be reasonably priced as well. Finally we will
have a booth selling gently used magazines (all less than 10 years
old), books, and patterns.
Rounding out the fun at our show will be the opportunity to buy raffle
tickets for the raffle baskets and for our raffle quilt. We have a
couple of extra special items with the raffle baskets this year!!
