Yes, day after the Fourth of July, we are gathering to sew and make quilts. 10 AM Remember this is our pot luck sew-in. I will tell you so far there are 5 signed up for appetizers and 5 signed up for desserts! So, if you didn't sign up...maybe appetizer?? We decided on appetizers and desserts for those who weren't there last month.
So, have a fun and safe Fourth and see you Tuesday.
Rita
PS...if you don't want to bring your machine, we have cutting...ALWAYS have cutting. We get these scraps that if we trim to 10", 6 1/2", 5 1/2", 4 1/2", 3 1/2" and 2 1/2" strips...they become more manageable. So, bring along maybe a small mat and your rotary cutter. IF you're interested in using an AccuQuilt Go cutter, email or call me and I'll bring mine.
PSS. We NEED more help for the booth at the Batavia Textile Show. Bring your calendars!!!
We are a busy bunch of quilters that strive to provide quilts as our small and humble way of saying "thanks" to our returning troops. Rita Pennington (garipenn@att.net) is our "Drill Sergeant" and she keeps the (quilting) troops moving and motivated. We have 6 monthly sew-ins North of I88: St. Charles, Elgin, Rolling Meadows, Crest Hill, Geneva and Montgomery. See side bar for more info. Join us on Facebook: Illinois Quilts of Valor
Thank you!

Results of Sew-in and Thank you, Kelley
Our sew-in was held yesterday. Thank you, Kelley and Judy for your hospitality. I'm sure we'll see you again and not lose touch. Here are the quilt tops that came in and were completed yesterday.
Will post if we decide to continue at a new site. Know you are welcome to join us at the Moose in St. Charles. Plenty of room.
PS I need some help in manning the booth at the Quilt Show in Batavia, July 15-17. The hours are Friday 1-6 pm (but need help for set up in the morning); Saturday and Sunday, 10-5.
